When it comes to dinnerware, the variety is endless. My family always had that everyday dinnerware, and that special occasion dinnerware. Every year or two we had a different kind of casual dinnerware. I remember stoneware, and glass dinnerware. Then the corning ware and corelle came along. When the kids were grown and leaving home, we went with the melamine dinnerware. That was 25 years ago. Now there's so much more to choose from out there. The dinnerware patterns are also endless. Of course a favorite for me is the palm tree dinnerware, but, there is a style and pattern for any motif.

When choosing dinnerware, keep in mind that the flow between your dining room and kitchen is an important aspect in decorating these rooms. Whether it be palm tree dinnerware or just colors with no pattern, you can

find glasses, napkins, kitchen utensils, and even some small appliances to match, and keep that flow going. And you can always put the flow from your living room to your dining room. Especially if the two rooms connect.
